MEMBERSHIP
7(e) CEMS members ensure that they are not stumbling blocks to those who are coming to Christ but they:
(I) Seek for ways to make Jesus known instead of seeking for popularity.
(II) Seek for God’s approval or for His name to be glorified instead of seeking for self glory or credit among men.
(III) Seek for responsibilities or duties instead of seeking for positions.
(IV) God’s will instead of doing self will or will of men.
(V) Seek for the anointing of the Holy Spirit to function instead of seeking for qualifications.
(VI) Seek to attract of souls to Christ through their lifestyles and activities instead of seeking to pull crowd to themselves.
(VII) Seek for corrections with love instead of talking down other people.
(VIII) Seek for promotions of people who actually merit them instead of seeking self promotion.
(IX) Seek for ways to humbly put the leaders right instead of condemning them or their methods.
(X) Seek to pray for other members who may be going through hard times instead of gossiping about them.
(XI) Seek for the best in each other instead of critically pointing out their weaknesses.
(XII) Seek for friendships with their enemies instead of looking for their downfall or destructions.
(XIII) Seek for ways to show love instead of keeping malice.
(XIX) Seek for the knowledge of God and talking with others with grace instead of careless talk that brings disgrace to themselves and the entire team or group.
(XX) Seek for ways to do things with humility and respect instead of indicating any sign of pride or ego.
(XXI) Seek for ways to show the treasures or talents in others instead of indicating sign of intellectual superiority or envy or seeking for proof of “knowledge of everything.” Thus each respect the opinions of the other that are not contrary to the scriptures.
(XXII) Seek for opportunities for others to discover themselves instead of being impatient with them.
(XXIII) Seek for ways to respect and be courteous with others instead of being rude or impolite.
7(f) Every CEMS member must always be well equipped with the word of God and ready to teach it anytime the opportunity comes up.
7(g) Every CEMS member is usually addressed with their prefix or title such
as Brother…, Evangelist…., Pastor…., or Sister…., e.t.c.
7(h) CEMS members meet at least once in a week to either pray or study the Bible or plan for their evangelistic or rehearsals or other activities .
7(i) CEMS members may at times raise fund for their outreach programmes or projects like outreach, missionary works, Bible club/ fellowship activities, children camping, youths camping and other camps, film or drama productions, publication of evangelical materials like tracts.
7(j) CEMS members who raise fund for any programme or project must indicate in writing how the fund is raised, give report of the expenses and indicate what is achieved.
7(k) CEMS members may be grouped in large or small units. Each group must be made up of at least five members which include the Group Coordinator who is the leader, secretary, treasurer and at least two others who are members.
7(l) Any bonafide CEMS member can found a small group only under NET or NMT.
7(m) Network Evangelical Team (NET) has the following groups and descriptions of functions under the flow of authority as in section 6 (d):
- Drama NET is the group that preaches the Gospel under the leadership of the Group Coordinator through dramas or movies or media productions like soap opera or radio or stage dramas, using only CEMS drama resource materials.
- Street And House NET is the group that preaches the gospel from street to street and house to house under the leadership of the Group Coordinator either through personal evangelism or mass evangelism like the use of tracts, directing the converts to Bible believing Ministries; especially the ones with focus on the New Testament of the Bible.
iii. Publication NET operates publication depots that distribute tracts and other publications under the leadership of the Group Coordinator to all categories of people, including children through (a) other CEMS group members (b) other organizations or ministries (c) institutions and (d) individuals.
- Prison NET is the group that preaches the gospel to inmates under the leadership of the Group Coordinator through (a) preaching ministries at various prisons (b) distribution of free publications (c) praying for and counseling inmates.
- Music NET is the group that preaches the gospel through music under the leadership of the Group Coordinator through (a) gospel music concert (b) musical audio or videos (c) music on radio and television (d) special occasion music ministrations.
- Hospital NET is the group that preaches the gospel from one hospital to another under the leadership of the Group Coordinator through (a) personal evangelism in the hospital (b) praying and ministering to the sick and or (c) distribution of free publications to the sick.
vii. Hotel NET is the group that preaches the gospel from one hotel to another under the leadership of the Group Coordinator through (a) personal evangelism in the hotel and or (b) distribution of free publications in the hotel.
viii. Party NET is the group that preaches the gospel from one party to another under the leadership of the Group Coordinator through mainly distributions of evangelical materials. Party NET members whether they are invited to the party or not always dress as if they at the party to celebrate with the people, distributing evangelical materials as free gifts to them.
- Media NET members and CCEM Students have access to the Centre Multimedia Studio under the Coordination of the College Coordinator who packages CEMS materials that are used as projects or practical into music, movies, messages and media productions for the use of (a) Television (b) Radio Stations (c) Individual Mobile Phones (d) Internet (e) the use of any of CEMS Group members as film and other shows in the public and (f) the use by other organizations or institutions.
- Market NET is the group that preaches the gospel from one market to another under the leadership of the Group Coordinator through mass and personal evangelism. Market NET members always co-opt Christians that have slots in the open market with the aim of forming fellowships of market people at the place and then invite Market Missionaries to coordinate the fellowships every week.
- Public/Film-Show NET is the group that preaches the gospel in public and other places under the leadership of the Group Coordinator through (a) film show either independently or in conjunctions with ministries or organizations or institutions like schools, Churches and campus fellowships (b) free distributions of publications like tracts in public places and other offices that serve the public (c) sales of publications or productions like books and evangelical movies during film show.
xii. Primary School NET is the group that preaches the gospel under the leadership of the Group Coordinator with the use of CEMS publications and productions in Primary Schools, creating opportunities for Primary School Missionaries to establish Bible Clubs or School Fellowships or Adult Education Centre.
xiii. Secondary School NET is the group that preaches the gospel under the leadership of the Group Coordinator with the use of CEMS publications a productions in secondary schools, creating opportunities for Secondary School Missionaries to establish Bible Clubs or School Fellowships or Adult Education Centre.
xiv. Campus NET is the group that preaches the gospel under the leadership of the Group Coordinator with the use of CEMS Seminars, publications and productions on campuses, working with the Fellowships on campuses or creating opportunities for Campus Missionaries to work with the Fellowships.
- Village NET is the group that preaches the gospel under the leadership of the Group Coordinator through personal or mass evangelism with the use or help of film show NET or Drama NET at various villages, creating opportunities for Village Missionaries to establish Adult Education or Mission or Centres or Fellowships or Schools.
xvi. Marketing / Distribution NET is the group under the leadership of the Group Coordinator that operates a marketing or distribution centre that preaches the gospel through supply of evangelical or Christian (a) publications like resource books (b) copies of movies (c) music videos (d) messages and (c) other materials to (i) Schools/ Campuses (ii) Churches/ organization (iii) Bookshops (iv) individuals and (v) other distributors
xvii. General Outreach NET is the group under the leadership of Group Coordinator that is involved in personal or mass evangelism and through other means.
