About SOS

Student Orientation Studies (SOS) are series of activities and studies that are designed with the objectives of embedding family, traditional, religious and national values with spirit of patriotism in the attitudes of all categories of people with particular focus on children and youths who are perceived as future parents and leaders of tomorrow. These are usually achieved through seminars, studies and other activities in conjunctions with education sectors in different countries. Studies and extracurricular activities include the use of books like The Stories And Studies Of African Values, Bloodshed In Campus, The Stories And Studies Of African Values, Bloodshed In Campus, Building Your Future As Young Africans, The Young Ghanaian Story Book, The Young Nigerian Story Book, The Value Of The Anthem And The Pledge To Nigeria, The Value Of The Anthem And Pledge To Ghana and a host of others that are included in VALUE INITIATIVE PROGRAM resource materials.

SOS ACTIVITIES


SOS Activities include but not limited to organizing groups of students in schools with the following objectives and purposes:

To gauge the impact of Student Orientation Studies on the attitudes of the students within the school.

To prepare them for future leadership roles.

3

To engage their minds with extracurricular activities that will boost their moral values and virtues, educating them on the consequences of their involvements in social vices and crimes.

To disabuse their minds of hate speeches, immoral songs and other things that corrupt the society, guiding them against hostile environment that had been created for them through various media, means of entertainments and communications.

To develop their interests in education and challenge them to become assets to their nations instead of constituting nuisances in the society.

To develop their talents and encourage them to use their gifts for the good of their countries.

To make them understand the consequences of their unpatriotic attitudes and groom them into responsible and reasonable parents, citizens and leaders of tomorrow.
