VISIONS, MISSIONS AND
POLICIES OF CHRISTIAN EDUCATION AND MINISTRATION SERVICES (CEMS) INTERNATIONAL
The organization provides the platforms to carry out these missions through these means: (i) College of Christian Education And Missions (CCEM) (ii) Network Evangelical Team (NET) (iii) Network Missionary Team (NMT) (iv) Network Resource Team (NRT). SECTION ONE GROUP MEMBERS’ DUTIES AND CEMS PRINCIPLES
1(a) CEMS group members are prayerful in ministrations to the world, tactful in evangelism, purposeful in carrying out visions and missions, powerful in unity with other Christians and resourceful in teaching or communicating the word of God to all categories of people.
1(b) All CEMS group members are prayerful in everything they do, especially when going for any ministration or assignment. Any group member who is constantly absent in the group meetings, including prayer sessions is not considered active member of that group. Inactive members are not regarded as effective member. Inactive members are not given either active or leadership roles in the group.
1(c) All CEMS group members are purposeful in everything they do, including their daily living. The purpose of involvement of any CEMS group member in anything must be pure and holy. No CEMS group member is to be involved in anything with wrong motives such as quest for comfort, materialism, eye service, popularity or vanity. The pure and holy motives behind everything CEMS group members’ involvement in ministries either in Churches or in the world include soul wining, edification of the Body of Christ and fulfilment of God’s purposes in their lives and in the lives of others. 1(d) All CEMS group members are tactful in soul wining, maximizing the use of their talents, potentials, time, money, materials and other available resources. Hence, bonafide members have direct or indirect access to outreach funds, teaching, ministration, evangelical and edifying publications and productions like tracts, movies and other materials that are provided by CEMS.
1(e) CEMS group members always seek to inspire other Christians to win souls for Jesus Christ and educate such in the ways to go about it.
1(f) CEMS group members educate others, edify the Body of Christ, encourage young believers to be matured in Christ and useful to God.
1(g) CEMS Training Programmes for members and non-members are available through Regular Programmes (RP) at College Of Christian Education and Missions (CCEM) as in section two and CEMS (i) Short Training Programmes which include seminars (ii) Irregular Programmes (IP) which include but may not be not limited to: 1-Month, 3-Month, 6-Month Courses and 1-year CCEM Certificate Programmes in different Courses.
1(h) Short Training Programmes and Irregular Programmes (IP) may be organized by CCEM/ CEMS in conjunction with institutions or schools or organizations or Churches or others and regulated by CCEM through Centre Coordinator and College / Local Coordinators in the area.
1(i) All CEMS group members must successfully complete 3-Month or 6-Month or 1-Year Certificate or 2-year Diploma programmes, depending on their CEMS membership status or capacities.
1(j) CEMS scholarship scheme may apply only to matured Christians who are ready to be part of the missions and visions of CCEM/ CEMS groups or activities.
1(k) Each CEMS Group is made up of at least 5 members or higher odd numbers like 7,9,11 etc.
1(l) The Group Coordinator leads each team but takes decisions with other members.
1(m) If there are differences in taking decisions together, the team members can decide to vote with simple majority having their way while the minority will have their say on record during the meeting.
1(n) There must be at least three Group executive members which include Group Coordinator, Secretary and Treasurer.
1(o) Group Executives give accounts to other group members and also report their activities to the Centre Coordinator who may need to approve some activities that may be carried out in the name of or with the funds of CEMS or CCEM.
1(p) Every member of all CEMS groups must be active in the team missionary or other works. Any inactive member in the group may be replaced after due warnings and consultations with other members.
1(q) There shall be CCEM/ CEMS Centre Board members in an area with Centre Coordinator as the Chairperson. The number of members must be odd like 5, 7 etc with three executive members which includes Chairperson, Centre Treasurer and Centre Secretary. Read more…
